Raj News, the channel launched by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao, exclusively for Telangana cause, has not gone down well with business world, dominated mostly by Andhra people.
Within a few days of the launch, the channel is hard-pressed for advertisement revenue. It will take a couple of years to get advertisements from big commercial houses producing FMCG products; but it needs advertisements initially at least from local business houses, commercial establishments and even educational institutions.
However, most of these establishments are controlled by Andhra entrepreneurs and when the marketing people of KCR channel approach them, they are simply getting negative response. In a few weeks from now, the channels would be flooded with advertisements from Narayana, Chaitanya and other big educational institutions and each channel will make a few crores within a span of two or three weeks. But Raj News people are drawing a blank every where. After all when the channel is for a cause, it has to bear the losses from other side!
