Ravi Teja’s ‘Don Seenu’ Begins in Rama Naidu Studios Today

Ravi Teja’s next film ‘Don Seenu’ began today in Rama Naidu Studios. R R Movie Makers are producing the film in the direction of Gopichand Malineni. Venkat is producer. K Achhi Reddy is presenting the film. Ravi Teja, Junior NTR, Rama Naidu and others have attended the film’s opening function.

Pakistani singer Adnan Sami, who has his base here, admits that he is tying the knot for the third time — this time with Roya Faryabi, qualified engineer in Munich, in Europe Jan 31.

“All my family members and all of Roya’s family are going to be at the wedding. I’d like all my friends from Mumbai to accompany me to Europe for the wedding. Unfortunately, there’s no time for them to make travel arrangements. So I’ll have a large wedding reception in Mumbai as soon as Roya and I return after the wedding,” Adnan said.

At the moment, Jermaine Jackson and his wife are on the guest list.

Talking about his second wife Sabah Galadari, he said: “According to Islamicmarriage laws, she was technically never my wife at all. Even if she was, my religion permits me to have three wives.”

“I was going through the worst phase of my life when I met Roya. I lost my grandfather, then my father. She held my hand during my darkest hours while I was fighting the ugliest court battle with my former wife.”

“Roya is very family-oriented. More than the fact that she loves me, I love her for understanding the importance of family ties. Roya respects my mother. This is something I didn’t have in my earlier marriage.”

Most important of all, Adnan’s son Azaan gets along like a house of fire with his new stepmom-to-be.

“The most important criteria for me in any woman is that she has to get along with my son. While Sabah couldn’t get along with Azaan, Roya loves my boy. In fact, they are best friends and I’m often the brunt of their jokes.”

Happiness has come to Adnan at a time when he had hit rock bottom on a personal level.

“I wouldn’t say Roya came into my life suddenly. We got to know each other gradually. After having gone through what I have, I was in no mood to jump into a new relationship. But it didn’t take me long to realise she was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.”

Roya will move to Mumbai with Adnan right after the wedding.

“She is a qualified engineer in Munich and works in the communication services. The organization has branches all over the world. They’re looking at opening a branch in Mumbai now that Roya is shifting to the city,” said Adnan who wants his wife to continue working after marriage.

“Isn’t it enough sacrifice that she’s leaving her family behind to join me in Mumbai? I don’t want her to give up her career,” he said.

Mahesh Babu In 'Mile Sur'!!!!

Prince Mahesh Babu may be a rare one to be seen on the silver screen but whenever he comes, he creates a bang. That seems to be the case right now since Mahesh has been off the hook since two years. However, he has been roped in for one of the most prestigious and patriotic projects.

This is the famous song ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara…’ that came 20 years ago and advocated National Integration. Now, the same song is being shot and sources say that from Andhra Pradesh, it is going to be Mahesh leading the song. He would also be accompanied by badminton players Gopichand and Saina Nehwal.

The young star has also been busy with the shooting of his new movie under the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. More than that, all are waiting to see how Mahesh would be seen in the National Integration song and this would indeed project him at a broader level though the cause is noble.

Rani-Vidya to star in a New film!



Rani Mukherjee is FINALLY back to doing more films and doing films outside of YRF. Hopefully this film will let her bounce back to superstardom. The film also stars Vidya Balan whom Rani was suppose to work with earlier in Laaga Chunari Main Daag. Again, this a female centric film and role which already reduces it's chances of being a super hit. Nonetheless, a Rani film is always exciting for me.

Though measures were immediately taken to censor all those, somehow they got leaked and right now, the nude pictures are said to be making hot circulations.

Those who have seen the stills say that Shriya is looking no less than a sex goddess and with her sculpted body and silky skin, she has raised the mercury levels to an alarming level. The nude photos are said to be in major circulation through the internet but there are those who quash these stills as morphed creations.

Film piracy has undoubtedly become one of the biggest threats to the film industry. Gone are the days when a bad camera print used to sold in the video rental shops or on the streets, the pirates have got into new avenues to distribute the illegal copies of the films. The internet is proving to be the El-Dorado for pirates and they are all going berserk on the internet to excavate this gold mine. A recent report submitted FICCI suggests that the Indian film industry is losing more than $4 Billion dollars a year to piracy and more than 8,00,000 jobs along with it. The emergence of video sharing sites like Youtube, Dailymotion, Metacafe and other P2P, File Sharing sites have become the new tools of online piracy. A recent Tamil movie which was produced by Radhika Sarathkumar titled ‘Jaggubhai’ starring Sarath Kumar and Shriya was uploaded on theinternet days before its release. Now, another Hindi film, ‘Ab Tera Kya Hoga Jhonny’ which was directed by Sudhir Mishra has fallen prey to piracy.The film which was supposed to release in May this year, has been uploaded on the internet a full 4 months before its release. Interestingly the film was completed in 2007 and it was being screened in several film festivals across Asia. Although, the film makers and producers have got in touch with Google Inc, and Youtube to delete the film, the damage has already been done. It’s high time the people realize how downloading films from the internet or even watching films online is going to affect the film industry in general. With millions of dollars and rupees at stake, this is one major concern which has to be addressed immediately. Copyright infringement laws and Anti-Piracy laws have been strengthened further and more than film fraternity, Government, the onus of curbing piracy is on us, the people. Unless we stop watching films illegally, no law can curb this menace. Stop Piracy. It’s a crime.

56th National Film Awards


New Delhi: The Union Minister for Information and Broadcast, Ambika Soni, today announced the 56th National Film Awards here today.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has been named Best Actress for her performance in director Madhur Bhandarkar's critically acclaimed film Fashion. This is the first National Award for Piggy Chops.

Actress Kangana Ranaut also bagged Best Supporting actress award for the same film Fashion.

The Best Actor award went to actor Upendra Limaye for the Marathi film 'Jogwa'.

The 56th National Film Award for Best Film category goes to Rahul Bose-starrer Begali film Antaheen while the Farhanh Akhatar's Rock on bagged Best Hindi Film at the 56th National Film Festival.

Rahul Bose has played IPS official in the film Antaheen. He said, "He is excited after hearing the news. It is good that a Begali film was named Best Film Award."

Arjun Rampal also managed to bag Best Supportive actor award for the film Rock On. The award will help his shaking career in Bollywood.

Director Dibakar Banerjee's Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye was named Best Popular film. Abhay Deol has played the role of a thief in the film.

While announcing the award, Soni said that the government has decided to regularize the National Film Festival. For this purpose, the 57th national Film Festival will be announced in the October 2010.

The Special Jury Award goes to Malayalam film 'Bioscope' produced by National Film Development Corporation.

Neeta Lulla is selected for Best Costume Designer for Hindi film Jodha Akbar.

The film Jodha Akbar was also selected in the Best Choreography category.
